As a result of bilateral agreements with the European Union, Swiss law will have to incorporate a substantial part of European law. This had led to heightened student interest in the subject.

The "European Law Online" project offers a modular, multilingual (French, German, Italian, English) European law course, divided into three levels of difficulty. Each of the modules deals with a specific subject (European Institutions, European Human Rights, European Internal Market, Competition Law), and may be taken separately.

The modules each comprise a video sequence, in which the teacher summarizes the most important aspects of his/her course, an interactive course guide, and courseware.
