«The course was initially designed for students at Masters level who should first acquire the necessary basic knowledge in introductory lectures. Students suggested that the course contents should be moved to earlier lectures. Meanwhile, the three key partners (the universities of Bern, Fribourg and Neuchatel) have integrated the VITELS modules into various lectures on the Bachelor studies programme in computer science at their respective university. Each professor includes those VITELS modules into his Bachelor course that fit into it thematically and in terms of effort. This means that almost every computer science student in Bern, Fribourg and Neuchatel will come into contact with VITELS.

The numerous pieces of work by the students that have contributed to the development of the VITELS course are another aspect. New course modules have been developed, or components of the course administration system implemented, thanks to a large number of computer science projects and Bachelors and Masters dissertations».
