The SOMIT project consists of creating interactive distance learning in sport organization management. There is strong demand for this subject in the higher education institutions, particularly in faculties of economics and social science and in institutes of sport science.

The course consists of 60 hours per semester, and will be aimed initially at graduate students enrolled in Swiss universities. Certification is planned, and will be based an individual project file written by the students.

Course content will be divided into 4 modules: Sport and Management; Fribourg Management Model for Non-Profit Organizations; Resource Management for Sport Organizations; Marketing for Sport Organizations. The course is offered in French, German and English.
