The eMathematics project features modules in
applied mathematics for use in Swiss universities of applied sciences.
They are suitable for use by lecturers in economics and engineering.
The modules will only contain selected summaries of important subjects.
The emphasis is on exercises relating to the teaching material, comprising
interactive exercises, brain teasers, mini self-checking sessions, "mathquests",
flash animations and other Excel- and Java-based tools. The modules are
designed for self-study.
The course is produced in WebCT Campus Version 4.1 or WebCT Vista. Special-purpose
e-learning media generate a dynamic, motivating learning environment,
which encourages collaborative work. In accordance with the Bologna Agreement,
the eMathematics course should preferably be integrated with the Bachelor
curriculum as blended learning units at the partner universities of applied
sciences.
